RUSK COUNTY POETRY SOCIETY MEETING -
The monthly RCPS meeting will be held on the third Thursday of each month at 2 pm at the South Main Church of Christ in Henderson. Parking is in back of the church. Members also meet for lunch before the meeting from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm across the street from the church at the Fillin' Station. The program includes literary news, a featured poet reading, a lesson and a critique session. Guests are encouraged to bring a poem to read.
EAST TEXAS POETRY IN SCHOOLS is an opportunity to nurture literary growth through the arts for East Texas students in grades 1 - 12, currently enrolled in public, private or home-school education. This contest and awards program is sponsored by the Rusk County Poetry Society and entries should be postmark by: Friday, March 9, 2012; more details can be found here.
