The MARY CRAIG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is given in honor of Mrs. Mary Craig of Tatum, Texas by the Rusk County Poetry Society. The late Mary Craig was a founding member of the Rusk County Poetry Society, a longtime Poetry in Schools Coordinator, and an avid advocate for the literary arts in East Texas. It is an honor to give this annual Poetry in Schools Scholarship, and Mrs. Craig would have enjoyed the thought of her namesake being passed on to a young poet. |
